DEXTER -- Lee Chamberlain, 81, died Nov. 11, 2008, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.
Born Dec. 25, 1926, in Catron, son of the late Fred Chamberlain and Edna Weedman Brown, he was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and owned Chamberlain Service Station.
On Nov. 23, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., he married Wanda Taylor, who survives of the home in Dexter.
Other survivors include: three sons, Tim Chamberlain and Tom Chamberlain both of Dexter, Steve Chamberlain of Sikeston; one brother, Bill Chamberlain of Catron; four sisters, Ruth Wallace of the state of Texas, Janet Burford of Doniphan, Tonya Hill of Poplar Bluff and Gail Laird of Sikeston; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Freddie Chamberlain, Charles Chamberlain and Don Chamberlain.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Don Kennedy officiating. Burial with full military honors follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
