SIKESTON - Edwin Webster, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Webster of Sikeston, has been elected social chairman of Kimball House at Iowa State College, one of the 16 residences which belong to the Men's Residence Association.

NEW MADRID - A concert of psalms, hymns and spirituals will be presented by the 65-member youth choir at the Southern Avenue Baptist Church of Memphis, Tenn., at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Church.

SIKESTON - Randy Baker put the final touches on the new cabinet area in the recently constructed Barton's of Sikeston store, which is preparing for its grand opening celebration this week.

SIKESTON - Awards were presented to three area residents during the Annual Farmers Recognition Banquet. Farm woman of the year went to Sandy Sitzes; Scott Peters was named the Sikeston Jaycees Outstanding Young Farmer; and Dwight Bird was selected the recipient of the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce Agri-Business Service Award.
