PARAGOULD, Ark. -- Ruth Marie Mallette, 90, formerly of Puxico, Mo., died Nov. 10, 20058, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born Dec. 4, 1917, in Blue Mountain, Miss., daughter of the late William S. and Isabel Rushing Hanner, she grew up in Blue Mountain and moved to Puxico in 1948. In 2001, she moved to Paragould. She had been a member of the Corinth General Baptist Church.
In 1941, she married John Prince, who died in 1950. On Aug. 18, 1962, she married Buell Mallette, who preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1988.
Survivors include: four sons, John Prince of Cardwell, Mo., Danny Prince of Paragould, Wayne Prince of Union, Mo. and Blickie Prince of Marmaduke; one sister, Nina Regis of Melbourne, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon Friday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The Rev. Ray Placher will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery.
