CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Fadedrick Lamont Holmes, 18, died Nov. 7, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Born Aug. 3, 1990, in Carbondale, Ill., son of Gloria Holmes of Cape Girardeau and Serle Thomas Sr. of Cairo, Ill., he was a member of Freewill Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.
In addition to his parents, survivors include: four brothers, Serle Thomas II and LeDre Thomas of Milwaukee and Christon Houston and Markeyth Davis of Cairo; six sisters, Jessica Holmes of Sikeston, Queentoria Blacksure and Iva Blacksure of Cape Girardeau, DeKeta Blacksure of Marston, Sh'ya Thomas of Milwaukee and Analah Thomas of Carbondale; stepfathers, Bobby Riley of Phoenix and Ivory Blacksure of Marston; maternal grandparents, Queenie Wigfall of Portageville and Ricky Miller of Cairo; and his paternal grandmother, Gloria Thomas of Cairo.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. until time of services at 3 p.m. Saturday at the New Beginnings Apostolic Church in Portageville with Sylvester Burris, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron.
Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
