Born March 14, 1945, in Washington, Mo., to the late Victor Henry and Ellona Wilma Kampen Strubberg, he had worked as a line supervisor at Lucia Pizza in St. Louis and was a U.S. Army veteran.
On Jan. 15, 1999, he married Pauline M. Gammons, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Leroy J. Strubberg Jr. of St. Louis, James Woods Jr. of Hillsboro and Timothy Strubberg of Farmington; five daughters, Margaret McPherson of Imperial, Julie Lowery of Delta, Leslie Lucia and Denise Derickson of St. Louis and Leanna Lacrone of Alton, Ill.; five brothers, William Strubberg and Wayne Strubberg of the state of Illinois, Don Strubberg of Plainsville, Ill., and Robert Strubberg and George Strubberg of Granite City, Ill.; and 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, one sister preceded him in death.
Graveside services with full military honors will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
