SIKESTON -- Divola Walberg, 98, died Nov. 17, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
Born June 15, 1910, in Matthews, daughter of the late William Lottie and Ida M. Black Phillips, she was a member of Sikeston Community Church and had worked as store manager for A & A Discount in Chicago before moving to Sikeston.
On Dec. 16, 1924, she married Ernest Cox who preceded her in death Aug. 23, 1997. On June 21, 1969, she married Arthur O. Walberg; he preceded her in death in 1981.
Survivors include: one son, Jere Wayne Cox of Sikeston; three brothers, John Phillips of Scott City, Raymond Phillips of Sebring, Fla., and Benny Phillips of Lake Okeechobee, Fla.; one sister, Delorse Cook of Sikeston; one granddaughter, Lisa Sheehy of Pensacola, Fla.; and four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
One grandson, Rick Cox, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Randall Morse, pastor of First Assembly of God in Scott City, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
