Claud Cribbs

LILBOURN -- Claud V. Cribbs, 92, died Nov. 18, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born May 11, 1916, in Paragould, Ark., son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Ligget) Cribbs, he was a retired employee of Taylor Gravel Company in Caruthersville.

On Oct. 11, 1941, at New Madrid, he married Della Mae Campbell who survives of the home in Lilbourn.

Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ronald Shinske of Leesburg, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel C. and Susan Cribbs and John A. and Laretta Cribbs of Sikeston; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

One son, James V. Cribbs; and two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Jack Owens will be officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery in Lilbourn.
