One arrested after Wednesday pursuit

SIKESTON -- A subject is in custody following a pursuit in Sikeston on Wednesday evening.

Around 9:08 p.m., narcotics officers were working a case. When they attempted to stop a vehicle, there was a vehicle pursuit then foot pursuit, which began on Montgomery Street, went down Ruth Street and ended on the 800 block of Agnes Street. The entire pursuit lasted about two minutes, according to Capt. John Martin of DPS.

Narcotics were recovered and one person is in custody, with charges pending.
