SIKESTON -- Micajah Boyte "Mickey" Thomas, 77, died Nov. 16, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Jan. 3, 1931, in Memphis, Tenn., son of the late Micajah B. Thomas II and Edith Saylor Thomas, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Sikeston, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had been a sales representative for Prudential Insurance Company before retiring.
On June 29, 1952, he married Margaret L. Wallace who preceded him in death Oct. 10, 2008.
Survivors include one sister, Linda Rogue of Brandon, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Frances "Frankie" Smith of Las Vegas; and two brothers-in-law, James H. Wallace of Pikeville, N.C., and Larry E. Wallace of Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Ritzinger, and his parents-in-law, Harold and Elsie Wallace.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Monday until time of services at 11a.m. at the Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Ken Mathes, interim pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be: Howard Peridore, Gerald McConnell, Steve Huffstutler, Don Swilley, John Glenn Peel and Woody Woods.
