COLT, Ark. -- Dorothy Patrick, 79, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died Nov. 23, 2008, at her home.
Born April 10, 1929, in Brownville, Tenn., to the late Arthur S. and Bertha P. Warren Staggs, she had lived in East Prairie most of her life, moving to Colt in 2002.
On May 30, 1942, at Charleston, she married Robert H. Patrick, who died Nov. 17, 1992.
Also preceding her in death were: one son, Phillip J. Patrick; two brothers, Lee Staggs and Roscoe Staggs; five sisters, Barbara Reed, Edith Reed, Louise Patrick, Minnie Miller and Margie Foltynewig; and two grandsons and one great-grandson.
Survivors include: five sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond H. and Dorthey Patrick of Charleston, Larry J. and Mary Patrick of Bertrand, Mo., Robert C. and Brenda Patrick, Jesse N. and Donna Patrick and Richard D. and Karen Patrick of East Prairie; nine daughters and four sons-in-law, Glenda F. Hedges of East Prairie, Pauline "Polly" and Jim Harris and Quince E. "Ellie" Patrick of Colt, Joyce K. and Mike Boyer of Viburnum, Sheila N. and Allen Cobb of Bernie, Mo., Regina D. and Richard Dowdy of Dexter, Mo., Judith A. "Judy" Keyes of Leesville, La., Kathleen M. "Kathy" Bell of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Phyllis J. and Phillip Hunt of Wynne, Ark.; and 44 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. tonight at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie, where services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Mike Johnson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
