EAST PRAIRIE -- JoAnn Grubbs, 63, died at 9:20 p.m. Nov. 25, 2008, in Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 11, 1945, in Temple, Texas, to Louella Brandon Wilson of Corning, Ark., and the late Andy Leroy Wilson, she lived most of her life in Mississippi County where she was a member of the St. James General Baptist Church in East Prairie.
On July 3, 1961, she married Jerry Grubbs who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Teresa Grubbs of East Prairie; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jorita and Tim Adkisson of Sikeston and Sherry Grubbs of East Prairie; three brothers, David Wilson of Corning, Ark., Doyle Wilson of Springfield and Leonard Wilson of Jefferson City; three sisters, Betty Albright of Germantown, Tenn., Wanda Arnold of Thornton, Ark., and Martha Polston of Flemington, N.J.; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Gene Grubbs.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 p.m. today at the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with Mike Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Josh Adkisson, Jason Adkisson, Ernie Green, Mike Grubbs, David Mullins and Scott Wilson.
