SIKESTON -- The city fire marshal and others are investigating a suspicious fire that broke out Thursday night.
The Sikeston Department of Public Safety received a call regarding a fire at 235 W. Gladys at 8:21 p.m. No one was home when the fire broke out, and firefighters were on the scene about two hours, according to officials.
It is believed that the blaze began in a front bedroom at the home. The house sustained moderate damage, but is still structurally sound.
