SIKESTON -- Thomas Maddox, 60, died at 12:27 p.m. Dec. 15, 2008, at his home.
Born March 12, 1948, in New Madrid, to the late Jerome and Catherine Dolan Maddox, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a service technician and retired from Southwestern Bell.
On June 3, 1967, in New Madrid, he married Margie Sutton who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura Ann and Sean DeMers of Conway, Ark., and Tammy and Jake Myres of Sikeston; five sisters, Virginia Watkins of Lilbourn, Teresa Presnell of Valley Park, Alene Jimerson of Kewanee, Clara Ann Cash of Okmulgee, Okla., and Nola Reid of Bonne Terre; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, with parish prayers at 5:30 p.m., at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Scott Sunnenberg of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church will officiate.
Burial will full military rites will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
