WARDELL -- W.E. Farris, 83, died Dec. 16, 2008, at Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Jan. 19, 1925, in Arkansas, the son of the late Al and Carrie Billetdoux Farris, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wardell.

On Jan. 19, 1945, in Piggott, Ark., he married Dorris Warth who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Raymond Farris, Eugene Farris and R.F. Farris; two sisters, Glayds Farris and Hazel Smithpeters; and two infant siblings.

Survivors include: one brother, James Farris of Wardell; and a special friend, Nell Hughes of Gideon.

Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. today at the DeLisle Funeral Chapel in Portageville where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Griff Walker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
