BENTON -- Kontrell "Konnie" Hale, 42, died Dec. 16, 2008, at his home.
Born July 26, 1966, in St. Louis, son of Morris Hale of Benton and the late Elizabeth Ann Vinson Hale, he was an automobile mechanic at Ron's Foreign Car and attended Unity Baptist Church.
On May 17, 2003, at Benton, he married Kathy Joyce Todd who survives of the home..
Other survivors include: one son, Keagan Hale of Sikeston; one daughter, Kyla Hale of Zalma; two stepsons, Timothy Hale and Larry Hale Jr. of Benton; four stepdaughters, Jeri Hale and Jamie Hale of Benton, Brenda Buckingham of Mayfield, Ky., and Lisa Hale of Sikeston; six brothers, Allen Hale, Paul Hale, William Hale and Tommy Hale of Benton, Nathan Hale of Champaign, Ill., and Wayne Hale of St. Louis; one sister, Cynthia Crowden of Benton; and nine stepgrandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Unity Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.
The Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
