Dorris Allen

Born Nov. 9, 1927, at Peach Orchard, to the late Luther E. and Mary Edith Smith Allen, he was a member of the Oneness Pentecostal Church in Malden and a former laborer for Federal-Mogul and the Malden Public School System.

On Aug. 9, 1994, at Malden, he married Vernice Malone who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Gary Allen of Malden and Tony Allen of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Karen Shelton of Corinth, Miss.; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Sue Johnson, and one grandchild.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Jimmy Kirby will officiate.

Burial will follow in Malden Memorial Park Cemetery.
