PUXICO -- Russell "Pud" Kelley, 86, died Dec. 19, 2008, at the Avalon Gardens in St. Louis.
Born Nov. 5, 1922, in Puxico, to the late Leonard and Leslie Brown Kelley, he had lived in St. Louis before moving to Puxico in 1985. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a life member of VFW Post 7522 in Puxico and a member of the Puxico Masonic Lodge.
On Aug. 30,1947, in St. Louis, he married June Kitchen who preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 2003.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Leonard "Wassie" Kelley.
Survivors include: one son, Russell Kelley Jr. of St. Louis; one daughter, Deborah Henson of St. Louis; two grandsons, Kelley Henson and Justin Henson of St. Louis; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico officiated.
Burial followed in the Puxico Cemetery.
