DEXTER -- Eleanor C. Aubuchon, 91, died Dec. 26, 2008, at the Cypress Point Nursing Center in Dexter.

Born Dec. 23, 1917, in Bronaugh, daughter of the late J. Arthur and Mae Combs Brown, she had lived in Desloge, Williamsville, Bloomfield, Cape Girardeau and Malden before moving to Dexter in 1992. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Malden, Missouri.

On May 24, 1942, in Herculaneum, she married to Sterling R. Aubuchon, who preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1988.

Also preceding her in death were: one grandchild, Terri Aubuchon Conklin, in 2006; one sister, Wanda Mae Burton, in 1996; and one brother in infancy.

Survivors include: one son, John R. Aubuchon of Hazelwood; one daughter, Connie J. Jenkins of Dexter; and two grandsons, David R. Jenkins of Sikeston and John Robert Jenkins of Chaffee.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at 11 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Greg Dowler of Malden will officiate.

Burial will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.
