Mary Higgins

SIKESTON -- Mary E. Higgins, 64, formerly of East Prairie, died at 7:15 a.m. Dec. 27, 2008, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Born Feb. 22, 1944, in Mississippi County, to the late Arlie and Selester Goff Scott, she had lived the past 20 years in Sikeston and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include: three sons, Clarence Scott, Frank Jones and Jack Jones, all of Sikeston; one daughter, Betty Buttree of Sikeston; one brother, Harvey Scott of Hannibal; two sisters, Wendy Pope and Ruby Jackson of East Prairie; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
