Ida Funkhouser

CHAFFEE -- Ida Mae Funkhouser, 79, died at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 27, 2008, at her daughter's home in Charleston.

Born July 6, 1929, at Delta, she was the daughter of the late John and Ella Pearl Cole Chapman. A retired machine operator from Tricon Industry in Cape Girardeau, she was a member of the Church of God in Jackson.

On March 17, 1954, she married Emory Dale Wiseman, and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1973. On March 3, 1990, she married Harry Fred Funkhouser, and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1998.

Four brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Dale Wiseman of Fruitland; one daughter, Becky Powell of Charleston; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Alvie Surface will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
