BERTRAND -- Betty Sue Davis-Crowley, 69, died at 1:09 p.m. Dec. 28, 2008, at her home.
Born Sept. 27, 1939, at Charleston, to the late Anderson and Opal Oliver Davis, she lived all of her life in Mississippi County. She had worked at Brown Shoe, had been a cook for the R-1 School District in Charleston and was a member of the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church.
On Dec. 17, 1955, at Charleston, she married Bill J. Crowley, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Bennie Joe and Belinda Crowley of Greenville, Blane Eugene and Susabelle Crowly of Sikeston and Bruce William and Tammy Crowly of Bertrand; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Burnett Sue and Joe Huckstep of Evansville, Ind., Bernice May "Bea" Crowley and Brenda Leigh DeMann of Bertrand and Barbara Ann and Harold Tarrants of Murphysboro, Ill.; one sister, Shirley Ann Jeffries of Sikeston; and 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
Visitation is at 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church. Dwayne Kirkpatrick and Buddy Hannah will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Blane Crowly, Bruce Crowly, Bea Crowley, Burnett Huckstep, Chris Crowly and Justin Crowly.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Matthew Tarrants and Michael DeMann.
