SIKESTON - There will be few new faces in the courthouse offices beginning with the new year, as practically all of the present officials were elected last November to succeed themselves. Clarence Felker succeeds J.C. Wallace as Scott County representative in the state legislature. Robert Dempster of Sikeston succeeds D.W. Gilmore of Benton as prosecuting attorney. Clyde Poe of Sikeston succeeds Orville Taylor, also of Sikeston, as county coroner and Lyman Harrison will be the county surveyor and Nina Bradford will serve as public administrator.

SIKESTON - The medical staff of doctors with privileges at the Missouri Delta Community Hospital has been completed with Sikeston practitioners and surgeons and doctors who live and practice in nearby towns and cities.
BLOOMFIELD - H.L. "Hutson" Goza, prominent Stoddard County farmer, was named foreman yesterday of the grand jury which was convened, according to Circuit Judge William Billings.
SIKESTON - Lana Corlew of Essex was the winner of the Eubanks-Finney $500 shopping spree drawing Dec. 23. The contest ran through December. Corlew and her daughters shared the shopping spree.

SIKESTON - George Morris has announced this candidacy for the Sikeston R-6 District Board of Education. The graduate of Sikeston High School is employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co.
SIKESTON - Duke McDonald was the raffle winner at the Ye Cobblestone Shoppe. McDonald won The Ronald McDonald House "The House that Love Built." The proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House at St. Louis.

SIKESTON - Raffle tickets were sold for a TV/VCR combination to raise the $300 donated to the Community Christmas Campaign. Chip Hileman and his daughter, Tricia, won the raffle sponsored by the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Upsilon Omega Chapter.
