MOREHOUSE -- Thomas Franklin "Frank" Roberts, 70, died at 11:33 a.m. Dec. 31, 2008, at the Miner Nursing Center in Miner.
Born Nov. 27, 1938, in Moody, to the late Chester and Eva Douglas Roberts, he had been employed by the Missouri state highway department in Harrisonville and Coca Cola Bottling Co. in Sikeston. He had also worked for the Dye Seed Co., city of Morehouse and Himmelberger Harrison in Morehouse. He was a volunteer firefighter for several years in Morehouse for which he served as fire chief from 1981-1983.
On Dec. 20, 1961, at Bloomfield, he married Laura Lou Ledbetter who preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 1988.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Chester Roberts Jr.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Rebecca Roberts of Morehouse; one brother, Charles Roberts of Harrisonville; one sister, Josephine Roberts of Bloomfield; and four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
The Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
