EAST PRAIRIE -- Ozie Mae Hatton, 80, died at 8:10 a.m. Jan. 1, 2009, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born April 29, 1929, in Mississippi County, to the late Frank and Victoria Bass Holmes, she lived all her life in Mississippi County and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include: four sons and two daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Bonnie Blumenberg and Teddy and Tara Hutchason of East Prairie, Lloyd Rankins of Anniston and Elvin Barker of Wyatt; seven daughters and four sons-in-law, Linda and David Sutton of East Prairie, Sue and Lacey Chanley, Mary Roach, Mildred Ballard and Sedonna Hutchason of East Prairie, Trecia and Frankie Duncan of Dixon and Martha and Wes Offenbacker of Springdale, Ark.; one sister, Ruby Holmes of Corinth, Miss.; and 32 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Ray Hutchason and Billy Hatton; one son-in-law, Clifton Roach; one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Bailey; and one grandson.

Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday with Jon Archie officiating.

Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
