GREELEY, Colo. -- Charles Edgar DeRoush died at 10:05 a.m. Dec. 24, 2008, after a short battle with cancer.

Born July 3, 1940, in Sikeston, to the late Charles Edgar "Eddie" and Lorene Harris DeRoush , he attended school in Sikeston until his senior year. He graduated from Grayridge, Mo., in 1959. He performed with his own country music band and was an actor and stuntman, performing under the name of Bob West, for movies and television shows

On Jan. 28, 1962, he married Karla Joyce, who survives of the home.

Also suriviving are: one son, Rex DeRoush of the home; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Lillian and Don Menken of Colorado Springs, Margaret Essig of Surprise, Ariz., and Marty DeRoush of Pleasant View, Tenn.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Don "Duck" and Burleta DeRoush of Nashvhille, Tenn., Dick and Pat DeRoush of Colorado Springs and Tom DeRoush of Anoka, Minn.; and one aunt, Betty Melton of Sikeston.

The body will be cremated, and at a later date a service will be conducted in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
