CHARLESTON - Tim and Claudia Lambert will be leaving Sikeston soon and moving to Gainesville, Fla. Lambert, a manager at Gates Rubber Co. in Charleston, is being transferred to Gainesville. He began working in the Charleston facility in July 1981 when the plant first opened. After spending all their lives in Sikeston, they will move to Gainesville this month with daughters, Brooke, 9, and Emily, 12.

SIKESTON - Carole S. McCall, R.N., will be the guest speaker at the Sikeston Public Schools capping exercises for the 28th class of the Practical Nurse Program. The ceremony is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at the First Baptist Church in Sikeston. Mrs. McCall is director of nurses at the Bloomfield Nursing Center. A 1980 graduate of Sikeston Public Schools Practical Nurse Program, she graduated in 1984 from Southeast Missouri State University with an associate of arts degree in nursing.

SIKESTON - The Christmas tree recycling lot is closed as of this morning. Members of the city of Sikeston's Public Works Department loaded two Pullen Brothers semi-tractor trailer trucks with the trees. Pullen Brothers is taking the trees to Wappapello Lake to be used as fish shelters.
