John Johnson

SIKESTON -- John Paul Johnson, 44, formerly of Mississippi County, died at 6:45 a.m. Jan. 7, 2009, at his home.

Born May 29, 1964, in East Prairie, to the late John Wesley and Thelma Mae Huff Johnson, he lived in Sikeston for the past several year and was a logistics manager for Ingram Barge Co. in Paducah, Ky.

On May 4, 1990, at Sikeston, he married Nancy Fay Jones who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Jennifer Jones of Sikeston; two brothers, Benny Johnson of Sikeston and Craig Wesley Johnson of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Joyce Ann Henry of Knob Noster and Judy Humphrey of Charleston; and one grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Johnson; and one sister, Carolyn Johnson.

Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with Dean Wallace officiating.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
