"We played up there Tuesday and I mentioned that we didn't play well and we didn't," Self said.
On Thursday night his Bulldogs pulled off a 39-13 win over those same Tigers.
"But, tonight we played better," said Self. "Everybody scored. We had a very balanced scoring attack. I thought we played harder and smarter."
Sikeston (8-1) blanked the Tigers in the first quarter going up 6-0. They went into halftime with a 17-5 lead.
Trey Tigret led the Bulldogs with nine points. Kyland Gross added seven. Seven other Bulldogs tallied a bucket for Sikeston.
The eighth graders' next game will be at Jackson on Monday.
