BLOOMFIELD -- Three Dexter residents and an Arkansas woman have been charged with illegal drug activity in Stoddard County.
Alexander Shane Alms, Natasha N. Alms and Tad J. Peaslee, all of Dexter; and Danielle D. Speers of Pickett, Ark., were each charged with class C felony of possession of marijuana and class A misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner.
On Wednesday the sheriff's department obtained a search warrant for the residence located at 434 N. Popular St. in Dexter. During the search a felony amount of marijuana along with packaging materials and scales, which are commonly associated with the sale of marijuana, were found.
Assisting the sheriff's department in the search were Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Dexter Police Department.
Bond is set at $50,000 for Alexander and Natasha Alms, and $125,000 for Peaslee and Speers. At press time, they remained the in the Stoddard County Jail.
