Officers from the SEMO Drug Task Force and the Sikeston Department of Public Safety conducted the investigation in Sikeston Wednesday through Friday, targeting individuals purchasing methamphetamine precursors from local retail stores. The investigation also led to the seizures of three methamphetamine labs.
Arrested Wednesday were:
Stephanie Burleson of New Madrid, charged with possession of
precursor with intent to manufacture, attempt to manufacture and two counts of child endangerment;
Tommy Burleson of New Madrid, possession of precursor with intent to manufacture, attempt to manufacture, unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of child endangerment;
Sammy Cantrell of New Madrid, possession of precursor with intent to manufacture;
Omie Cantrell of New Madrid, possession of precursor with intent to manufacture;
Edward Goodwin of Poplar Bluff, possession of precursor with intent to manufacture;
Kevin Scott of East Prairie, warrant arrest for nonsupport and firearms violation;
Matt Huckstep of East Prairie, possession of precursor with intent to manufacture warrant arrest;
Arrested Thursday were:
Cynthia Allen of Poplar Bluff, possession of precursor with intent to manufacture;
Larry Law of Marston, possession of methamphetamine and the attempt to manufacture methamphetamine;
Karen M. Johnson of Pocahontas, Ark., possession of precursor with intent to manufacture;
Steven L. Johnson of Pocahontas, possession of marijuana and possession of precursor with intent to manufacture;
Tabatha King of Pocahontas, possession of precursor with intent to manufacture and possession of methamphetamine;
Chris Williams of Bardwell, Ky., possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute;
John W. Tinsley Jr. of Sikeston, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute;
Linda Teague of Wyatt, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute;
Michelle D. Watkins of Charleston, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and arrest warrant for probation violation;
Arrested Friday were:
Benjamin C. Wallace of East Prairie, possession of precursor with intent to manufacture and possession of methamphetamine; and
Shane R. Ardrey of East Prairie, possession of precursor with intent to manufacture.
In addition to the 18 arrests, three warrants are pending on individuals.
