Local barriers may be broken

On a day in which historic heights were reached on the national scene, local barriers seem to be crumbling as well. In case you've missed out on the big news, the Scott Central vs. Sikeston matchup we all asked Santa for back in December is in the works for a February 11 date.

The contest, proposed to take place at the Show-Me Center, will shatter a wall that has stood between the two schools since 1971. The change couldn't come at a better time as both schools are having solid seasons and are both said to be front-runners to take home district titles in their respective classes.
