Chaffee beat rival Scott City for the first time since 1985, 60-57 in the opening round of the Scott-Mississippi Conference tournament at Oran.
Senior Taimen Taylor, who turned 18 points Tuesday, scored 20 points to lead the fourth-seeded Red Devils past fifth-seeded Scott City.
"It was a heck of a game," Chaffee coach Josh Govreau said.
