SIKESTON - Technicians worked through the night attempting to restore power following a fire at a Sikeston electrical substation.
Around 8:12 p.m, Wednesday, a large explosion rocked the northwest part of the city. A circuit breaker at Sikeston's Coleman Substation, located at Compress and North West streets, had blown up causing a major power outage for Sikeston, according to Department of Public Safety Sgt. James McMillen.
