Freshmen roll; eighth graders drop last game

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Bulldogs ninth grade boys basketball team rolled past the Twin Rivers Royals 66-13 Thursday night.

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Sikeston Bulldogs eighth grade squad dropped their season finale in the championship game of the Cape Central tournament to Poplar Bluff 27-25. The Bulldogs finished 11-2 on the season but came up short in the overtime contest after reaching the finals by defeating Jackson 28-8 on Wednesday evening.
