SIKESTON -- With over a two week layoff from the hardwood, the New Madrid County Central Eagles finally got back to playing basketball on Friday night.

Unfortunately, waiting for their return was the Scott County Central Braves who ran away with a 94-58 win over the Eagles.

"We played a lot better tonight than we did against Kelly," Braves head coach Ronnie Cookson said. "New Madrid has got a lot of talent. They're well coached and are just strong kids. I thought we really came out and played well."
