SIKESTON -- With the game tied early in the third quarter and Fredericktown seemingly getting every rebound and loose ball the Dexter Bearcats could have folded. Instead the third-seeded Bearcats finished the game on a 28-11 run to defeat the Blackcats 54-37 in the opening round of the Class 4, District 1 Tournament Tuesday night at the Sikeston Field House.

"For about a six minute stretch of the third quarter we really got after it and played some pretty good basketball," said Dexter coach Rod Nichols.
