BENTON -- One statement commonly mentioned by coaches following every basketball game is that free throws will win ballgames. On Tuesday evening free throws won the ballgame for the Kelly Hawks as they were a solid 24-for-30 from the charity stripe in their 74-67 home win over the Bloomfield Wildcats.

The uncharacteristic shooting performance from the free throw line appeared to shock Kelly head coach Nate Wills after the game.

"I just can't believe it," said Wills. "We were 24-for-30. I just can't believe that. Anybody that doesn't think free throws win games is wrong."

Wills went on to say that his club has had to practice hard on their free throws as of late, and that his squad normally stays after practice to put in more work.
