The Lions Club of Sikeston presented three plaques of appreciation to honor the efforts of workers with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, Sikeston Board of Municipal Utilities and the Sikeston Street Department during their Annual Chili and Hot Tamale Day conducted Wednesday. Pictured above from left are Nancy Reiman, Lions Club president, presenting a proclamation to Steve Lee with the Street Department. Also accepting the honors for their departments were DPS Chief Drew Juden and Ed Throop, BMU director. The club urged all citizens to show their support for "these public servants who cared and with great compassion and sacrifice, worked so diligently to restore our community."
