SIKESTON -- The Kenny Rogers Children's Center annual telethon over the weekend came in just shy of its $300,000 goal, with a final total of $280,007 in donations.
As the lights began to dim on the event, organizers made a big announcement that could bring in extra funds for the Center, which serves children from across the Bootheel area.
