MINER -- A run-off election between Deloris Smith and Cindy Cole for a seat on Miner's Board of Aldermen will be held May 5.

The new election date for the Ward I alderperson seat was announced during the Board's regular monthly meeting Tuesday.

The date for the run-off election was agreed upon by the Board following the acceptance of the April 7 election results in which Smith, who is the incumbent, and Cole each received 85 votes each for the two-year term.
