NEW HAMBURG -- William Kluesner lives on a farm in Oran.

But that didn't stop the Guardian Angel student from learning quite a few things about life on the farm Tuesday at the Eighth Annual Scott County Women in Agriculture Farm Day. He and about 300 other Scott County third grade students circled through nine total stations.

"My uncle and my dad tell me a lot," William said. "But this teaches me different things in a different way."

Even though she doesn't live on a farm, Cora Hupp, a Kelly Elementary student, said she often helps out on her grandparents' farm, who also raise cows, chickens and pigs. "Sometimes, I help run the egg belts to get the eggs," she said.
