Suicide attempt leads to standoff, street closure

SIKESTON -- A suicide attempt on Wednesday evening led to a street closure.

According to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety's incident report, a call came in at 8:26 p.m. from a resident on the 300 block of Davis St. in reference to a man with a gun saying he wanted to die.
