Sikeston netters drop pair of matches

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston tennis team fell to Carbondale on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 8-1.

DEXTER -- The Dexter tennis team completed a clean sweep over the visiting Sikeston Bulldogs on Tuesday defeating their opponent 9-0.

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston junior high track team had a strong showing in their SEMO Conference junior high track meet on Wednesday with the boy's squad finishing second and the girls finishing third.

MARBLE HILL -- Neil Johnson smashed a three-run homer in the first inning as he helped Woodland jump ahead early and beat Richland 16-5 in five innings Wednesday.
