Bertrand farmlands' drainage discussed

CHARLESTON -- Mississippi County commissioners will wait to hear from landowners before considering what can be done to drain farmland around Bertrand.

Ten landowners with farmland in the Bertrand area met with county commissioners and Richard Wallace, county road and bridge superintendent, during the regular County Commission meeting Thursday to discuss drainage for farms in that area.
