SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Lady Bulldogs won in dramatic fashion Tuesday's senior night, edging the Cape Central Lady Tigers 4-3 in overtime.

The Lady Bulldogs standout senior forward Abbi Keefer provided three of Sikeston's four goals, including the game-winner.

"We feel very good about Abbi's (Keefer) play tonight," Lady Bulldogs head coach Derrick Long said. "Especially since she has missed the last week of practice and the last couple games with an injury.

"She just played a great game. You could tell she was tired, but she battled through and stepped it up."

The game started as a no-score defensive struggle in the first half before things heated up in the second half.

It was Lady Tigers all-stater Sarah Uptmor who struck first when she chipped in a bobbled ball at the 37:33 mark.

Sikeston responded 11 minutes later when Keefer notched a goal on an unassisted free kick to tie the score.

Uptmor scored twice more over the next eight minutes on back-to-back corner kicks to give Cape Central a 3-1 lead with 18:37 left in the game.
