Sikeston man's battlefield bravery is recognized with presentation of Silver Star
SIKESTON -- A Sikeston man was recently awarded the Silver Star in recognition of his heroic acts during the Vietnam War.
James "Mike" Ralph, 64, received a letter dated Feb. 20 from the U.S. Army's military awards branch informing him of the Silver Star award. This letter was followed by a letter from Sen. Kit Bond in April.
