Sikeston wins first state title in school history

JEFFERSON CITY -- Every single point mattered on Friday and Saturday at the Class 3 Track and Field Championship as the Sikeston Bulldogs boys' squad hoisted their first ever first place trophy on the podium at Dwight T. Reed Stadium at Lincoln University. The first place finish of 44 points was shared with St. Clair, who nearly wrapped up the top spot themselves, but Sikeston battled to the end to share honors and claim their first team title in the history of the school -- in any sporting event.
