Wildcats will try for third place against La Plata today at 7 p.m.

SPRINGFIELD -- The Cooter Wildcats' journey towards their first state championship was ended at the hands of Santa Fe on Wednesday afternoon as they fell 3-2 in the MSHSAA Class 1 state semifinals round at Meador Park in Springfield.
