Relay for Life event to have extended hours

SIKESTON -- Statistics show the longer a Relay for Life event is, not only is more money raised, but also more awareness.

That's why Scott County's event this year will have extended hours, kicking off at 11 a.m. Saturday but not wrapping up until 5 a.m. Sunday, said Julie Aycock, regional director of development for the American Cancer Society.
