Teen population is having a difficult time finding jobs

SIKESTON -- If adults are having a tough time finding a job in today's economy, then the teen population is having an even worse time.

Last June through August, just 32.5 percent of teens worked, down from 45 percent for the same period in 2000, according to seasonally adjusted data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
